1. Vegetable Preparation:

1.1. Prepare the tomatoes:

Halve and quarter the tomatoes.

Remove the seeds and chop them into small, bite-sized chunks.

Place in a bowl.

1.2. Prepare the onion:

Halve the red onion.

Finely dice one half of the onion.

Add to the tomatoes.

1.3. Prepare the garlic:

  • Finely slice the garlic cloves, then chop them into even smaller pieces.
  • Add to the tomato and onion mixture.

1.4. Prepare the cilantro:

Roughly chop the cilantro and add it to the mixture.

2. Complete Zesty Salsa:

2.1. Add the remaining ingredients:

Add the lime juice, salt, and white wine vinegar to the bowl.

2.2. Combine:

  • Gently mix all the ingredients together using a spoon or spatula.
  • Avoid overmixing; you want to keep the salsa chunky.

2.3. Rest:

Cover the salsa and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably 12 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.

Tips:

  • Adjust to taste: Feel free to adjust the amount of any ingredient to suit your preference. You can add more or less garlic, cilantro, lime juice, etc.
