If you do not have the ground version of the spices, feel free to use them whole and crush them using a mortar and pestle, or a freezer bag and rolling pin, or a small kitchen food processor. For nutmeg and cinnamon, you can use a small hand grater.

Directions:

1. Preparation:

1 TBSP of chili powder
1 TSP of ground cumin
½ TSP of paprika
½ TSP of dried oregano
¼ TSP of garlic powder
¼ TSP of onion powder
Optional: ½ TSP of crushed red pepper flakes or Cayenne pepper
½ TSP of salt
½ TSP of ground black pepper

Thoroughly stir using a whisk until fully combined (usually for about 30 seconds).
