Directions:

1. Pasta Preparation:

Let’s start preparing delicious Pappardelle with Marinara Sauce.

A.

Cook your pasta (follow the instructions on the box for cooking store-bought pasta) and then drain water by pouring pasta over a colander. *

B.

Or prepare and cook homemade pasta. Then drain with a colander. *

2. Complete the Pappardelle with Marinara Sauce:

2.1. Preheat a stir fry pan on medium heat with 2 TBSP of frying oil and add:

Cooked and drained pasta from the previous step.

Sauté for about 1- 2 minutes while constantly turning with tongs (prevents sticking to the pan).

2.2. Then add:

3 cups of marinara sauce
¼ cup of fresh basil – finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic – grated
½ TSP of salt
¼ TSP of ground pepper

Cook while constantly turning with tongs until it’s nicely combined (about 1 minute).

Note:
Ideally, the sauce should coat the pasta and should become part of the pasta – the pasta should not “swim” in the sauce. However, it is totally up to you to try to reach this result or go with pasta with more sauce.

2.3. Take the pan of the stove and add:

½ cup of grated parmesan

Thoroughly stir together using tongs.

2.4.

Taste and add salt or pepper if needed.

3. Serve Pappardelle with Marinara Sauce:

3.1.

Place pasta in the center of the plate using tongs (try to create a twist effect during plating).

3.2. Optionally top with chicken parmesan

3.3.

Sprinkle with grated parmesan and freshly ground salt and pepper.

*Do not leave pasta to rest in the colander. It is still cooking (because of the hot temperature of the pasta), and you can end up with overcooked pasta. Use the pasta immediately in the following steps or place them to cool on a baking sheet if you need more time.
