Ingredients:

Brownies:

*Skip the salt if you are using salted butter.

Directions:

1. Preheat oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 9×9 inch baking pan.

2. Melt the butter:

  •  Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan.

3. Combine ingredients:

  • Place the sugar to the medium mixing bowl add melted butter and whisk until combined.
  • Whisk in the eggs.
  • Then, stir in the vanilla extract.

4. Add dry ingredients:

  • Add the cocoa powder, flour, and salt to the wet ingredients.
  • Stir until just combined – don’t overmix!

5. Add chocolate chips (optional):

  • Fold in the chocolate chips if you’re using them.

6. Bake:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.

7. Cool and enjoy:

  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
  • Gently dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
