Creamy Spread with Garlic and Chives

Ingredients:

  • 8 OZ of cream cheese
  • ½ cup of sour cream (4 OZ)
  • 1 clove of garlic - peeled and grated (or pressed)
  • ¼ cup of chives - finely chopped (optionally substitute with fresh parsley or 1 TBSP of dried chives)
  • Pinch of salt (adjust if needed)
  • Pinch of pepper (adjust if needed)

Directions:

1. Preparation:

Let’s start the preparation of the Creamy Spread with Garlic and Chives.

1.1. Place into a kitchen mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and add:

8 OZ of cream cheese
½ cup of sour cream
1 clove of garlic – grated
¼ cup of chives – finely chopped
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper

Process on high speed until smooth and fully combined (about 3 minutes).

Tip: If some of the mixture sticks to the side of the bowl during processing, stop the mixer, scrape it back in with the silicone spatula, then continue processing.

1.2.

Taste and add more salt and/or pepper if needed.

2. Serving Creamy Spread with Garlic and Chives:

2.1.

The spread can be enjoyed right away or stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

2.2.

Serve the Creamy Spread with Garlic and Chives on fresh bagels, sandwiches, or crackers.
