Simple Boiled Rice
November 10, 2023Simple Boiled Rice is a very nutritious and healthy meal. Buy organic if you can to prevent consuming chemicals that are often present in non-organic brands. To make it even easier, buy a rice cooker!

I went with Pork Char siu on this occasion, but throw in Beef, Prawns and Chicken and you have one hell of a hearty meal...
Read lessCook 1 cup of the raw rice with 2 cups of the water until done.
For best result, let cool and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
½ carrot – peeled and finely diced (large carrot)
3 spring onion – white part choppeed
3 cloves of garlic – finely chopped
And stir fry with stirring for about 3 minutes.
3 eggs
2 yolks
And thoroughly whisk together.
Stir eggs into the pan and cook with constant stirring for about 1 minute.
1 TBSP of chili past
Cook through for about 1 minute.
¾ LB of Char Siu – diced
And cook with occasional stirring just enought to make Char Siu warm (about 30 seconds).
⅓ LB of prawns – deveined
Cook with stirring until prawns get fully cooked (about 2 minutes).
2 TBSP of light soy sauce
1 TBSP of sesame oil
½ TSP of MSG
Stir fry with stirring until rice is piping hot throughout.
You can go to town here, crispy fried egg, curry sauce, even both. Prawn Crackers (excellent for ‘spooning’ up the fried rice).
