Save For Later & Follow/Block Cooks

On CookingHub, save any recipe or article for later, and follow your favorite cooks to stay up-to-date with their latest creations.

Basics

To be able to save recipes for later and follow cooks, as well as to perform all related features, you need:

  • An account on cookinghub.com (create a free lifetime account here)
  • To be logged in.

Access “Saved for Later” and Manage Followers

To see and manage content you’ve saved for later and chefs you follow, visit My Menu and its sections Saved for Later and Following.

My Menu is an easy-to-use user menu on CookingHub, available to all logged-in users.

Save any Recipe, Article, or Page for Later

Save any recipe, article, or page for later:

  1. Find the orange plus button.
    • Either in its compact version (just a “+” symbol)
    • Or in the larger version (“+ Save for Later“). This button is usually located in the top right corner of each page.
  2. After clicking the button, it will turn white, and the symbol will change to an orange checkmark with a plus sign. The text will also turn orange.
  3. You can view all saved content in the Saved for Later folder under My Menu.
  4. To remove a saved item, click the white button with the orange checkmark and plus sign located in the bottom right corner of its content card.

Followers and Following

Important: 
If the user selected the Private profile option, you will not be able to follow them. The instructions below apply only to public profiles.

  1. To follow a cook, open their profile anywhere on CookingHub.
    • You can do this by clicking their photo.
    • Or the Profile & Recipes button on their chef card, located in the Cooks Chart of the website.
  2. Then click the follow icon.
    • Appears in either a compact version (person icon with a ” + “symbol)
    • Or a larger version (person icon with a “+” symbol and the text “Follow“).
    • If the user has automatic follower approval enabled, the button will change to a white background with an orange person icon and plus symbol.
    • If the user does not allow automatic follower approval, the button will display a clock symbol while the request is pending.
    • If the request is approved, the icon will change to the orange person icon with a plus symbol.
    • If the request is denied, the original follow icon will reappear.
    • If the user blocks you, you will not be able to follow them.
  3. You can view and manage your followers in the Following under My Menu.
    • If you have not selected automatic follower approval, you can approve or deny follow requests, or block users, by clicking the Requests for Following and then the appropriate button on the chef’s card.
    • If you have automatic follower approval enabled, this option will not be visible, but you can change this setting at any time in your user menu).
    • View your followers under Your Followers (and deny or block them at any time).
    • View who you follow under You Follow. You can unfollow a chef at any time by clicking on the person icon with a checkmark button.
    • Access blocked users under Blocked Cooks. You can unblock a user at any time by clicking the appropriate button.
