My Menu

My Menu is an easy-to-use user menu on CookingHub, available to all logged-in users.

Basics

To access My Menu, you need to:

  • An account on cookinghub.com (create a free lifetime account here)
  • To be logged in

Where is My Menu Located?

  • High-resolution computers and tablets: On the right side in its own column (does not overlap content when opened).
  • Low-resolution computers and tablets: On the right side, overlapping content when opened.
  • Cell phones: At the top of the screen.

Basics About My Menu

  • My Menu is collapsed by default (not opened).
  • To open the menu, click on the orange My Menu button and the downward arrow.
  • After selecting an option and choose specific content, My Menu will automatically collapse for your convenience.
  • You can also manually collapse it by clicking on the orange My Menu button and the downward arrow.
  • Click your selected category to see related content.

Publish Next Recipe

  • Quick access to the recipe editor to publish your next recipe.

Saved for Later

Your library of saved content and chefs you follow.

Includes:

  • Recipes: Recipes of others you saved for later.
  • Cooks: Cooks you follow.
  • News: News you saved.
  • Ingredients: Information about specific ingredients you saved.
  • Kitchen Guide Articles: Articles from the Kitchen Guide section you saved.
  • Food & Ingredients Articles: Articles from the Food & Ingredients section you saved.
  • Tools: Articles from the Tools section you saved.
  • Classes & Events: Information about classes and events (coming soon).
  • Pages: Saved pages.

Recipes

Includes:

  • Recipes Saved for Later: Quick access to recipes you saved for later.
  • My Recipes: Here you can edit and view your recipes (published, drafts, etc.). This folder includes:
    • Publish Next Recipe button: Quick access to the recipe editor to publish your next recipe.
    • Published Recipes: Recipes you’ve published.
    • Private Recipes: Recipes you’ve kept private.
    • Approval Pending Recipes: Recipes you’ve submitted for approval to be published.
    • Drafts: Recipes you’re working on.
  • Discover New Recipes: Takes you to the main recipe section on www.cookinghub.com

Following

Everything related to your followers and who you follow.

Includes:

  • Requests for Following: Approve or deny follower requests (this folder is visible only if you have not selected automatic follower approval).
  • Your Followers: Cooks who follow you.
  • You Follow: Cooks you follow.
  • Blocked Cooks: Cooks you have blocked.

Important: 

  • If the user selected the Private profile option, you will not be able to follow them.
  • If you select a private profile, users will not be able to follow you. A private profile may have some menu options disabled.

Articles

Articles saved for later, as well as the option to publish your own articles.

  • News Saved for Later: News you’ve saved.
  • Kitchen Guide Articles Saved for Later: Articles from the Kitchen Guide section you saved.
  • Food & Ingredients Articles Saved for Later: Articles from the Food & Ingredients section you saved.
  • Submit New Article: Section with information on how to submit your own article (any content except recipes).

Section with your donation receipts, which may be used for tax deductions (consult with a tax specialist).

Help

Help section with several manuals.

See Your Profile & Settings

View and edit your profile, as well as your privacy settings.
